I am a storyteller.
As a designer and illustrator, I am focused on crafting engaging visual narratives that enhance brand identity and audience connection. I strive to thoroughly understand each project, working across different teams to gather as much information as possible in order to bring the project to life. I have found this collaborative process to be not only crucial to a project's success, but also a very enriching part of the process. Establishing rapport and understanding between myself, colleagues, and clients sets us all up for success.
With over 10 years of industry experience, my skills include branding and identity, illustration, storyboarding, some animation, UI/UX, project management, and design management. My approach is a blend of creative and strategic vision, striving to meet project goals while also delivering an accessible, delightful, and engaging visual experience.
In my current position with Amazon, I led the redesign of a series of 23 courses in only 5 months, successfully establishing myself as the SME for all things design for the series. My project and design management process has since been recommended as standard practice in graphics creation for all Workplace Health & Safety training courses.
While working with Committee for Children, my work was instrumental in the creation of a one-to-one learning experience between the English and Spanish platforms, providing hundreds of Spanish-speaking students a more equitable and accessible learning experience. I owned the redesign of product training materials, increasing the acceptance rate and implementation of the CFC social-emotional learning curriculum in schools across the country.
I have worked as both an agency and in-house designer, and also have experience freelancing, working with clients such as Make-A-Wish Washington and Town Hall Seattle. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Washington, and later completed a two-year Graphic Design Degree at Shoreline Community College.
Outside of work, I try to keep up with my delightfully energetic 4-year-old daughter, who constantly reminds me to stay curious, inquisitive, and creative. I also love cooking, kickboxing, and most recently, involuntary yoga (AKA Brazilian Jiu Jitsu).
